How much time will this take?
Minutes or months. It's up to you. Hampshire County volunteers built AI Challenge Helper apps so participants can generate an entry in less than an hour. Entries aren't due until January 20, 2026 so you have lots of time to refine your ideas and revisit your prototype.
The time commitment varies depending on your project and team. If you have time for a 2-hr workshop, you can have a challenge entry. If you have a few minutes here and there, usually spent scrolling social media, you can have a challenge entry. The Hampshire County helper apps are designed with busy community members in mind. We know everyone’s busy and has a million commitments already—work, family, school, and everything in between. The good news is that the Presidential AI Challenge doesn’t require huge chunks of time or months of meetings.
